2025 Q1

Cornerstone Habits

  • Phone Distance – I need to physically keep my phone away from me during the day especially when I’m at home. I reflexively reach for it during the little moments during the day and then I go down a texting, social media or some other unintended hole. Think this will make me more intentional about my priorities
  • Kindle & learning swap for social media –  I’ve started off the year using my kindle instead of my phone when i’m eating lunch or to wind down before bed. I also signed up for another year of Masterclass which I’ve been enjoying.

Focus Areas

  • AI – Is it really 2025 if AI isn’t involved in some goal? I watched a webinar where the speaker mentioned having a dedicated AI screen on his desktop. I just got access to Microsoft Copilot so plan on keeping it open during the day and trying to have an “AI First” mentality. Bonus points for taking an AI course on my list as well
  • New project – As of writing I’m queued up for a new project but consulting is wild and things may change. Need to get the confirmation across the finish line and get to work.
  • Stretching & flexibility – I’ve been on a good streak lately of using my stretching app and new stretching toy: Flexbuddy and am definitely feeling the results. Want to keep up the streak and habit
  • Nutritionist and logging food  –  Found Nourish and have scheduled a meeting with a nutritionist. I like that it is covered by insurance and that the the logging aspect is just taking pictures
  • Honeymoon – As of start of January we’ve got the flights and hotels booked and just need to fill the time with activities. Trying to find a balance of planning and serendipity
  • Stealth 325 – My core is stronger than ever and plan on keeping up the momentum from previous quarters
  • Blog posts –  I finished the draft of my EMS post and did the work for my AI post. Will publish the EMS one this quarter and draft the AI one. The EY one i’m hoping to get published as well
  • Morning personal development – too often I wake up 15 minutes before a meeting and rush into work. I don’t find myself with energy after work to do things so the morning is the only feasible time. I don’t want to set numbers or targets just want to get better about doing my stuff before work be it stretching, gym, networking, courses etc.
