New Project
Did a short term thing for Q1 and find myself looking around for a new thing. The unique thing about consulting is its more about whats available than what you are looking for. At the start of the quarter I have a few things i’m considering. Will be interesting to see where I land.
Mobility
I need to invest more time into mobility to complement my workout classes. My Hip/glute/IT/TFL area has been killing me lately and I’m worried something is broken and not just tight. Before I go to a doctor I’m going to really lean into stretching. I bought this mobility reset program which I’m excited to dig into.
Stealth 300
Would like to hit atleast 300 stealths but my time in office will be a big driver of this. If I’m hybrid or remote I will hit 500. 300 in 90 days feels so small and low so I know I can do better.
Less Phone More Books
I’m going to keep my phone physically away from me when I’m home. I’ve also removed social media from my home screen. WRT reading I am just about 1000 pages which is behind pace.
Steps above 7,000
I’ve been commuting less which has been nice in that I can get settled in the new house but my steps have fallen off a cliff. Using my treadmill desk and going for walks throughout the day should help here. 7000 steps is about an hour of walking each day.
AI/Vibe Coding
I’ve got a vide coding 101 course that is a short overview which will help me get started. I’m now a Perplexity Pro subscriber so want to play with it’s computer and Comet tools. They’ve also rolled out an AI upskilling feature. The firm is starting to roll out even more access to AI tools so it will be nice to use tools more frequently in my day job instead of mostly personal life.
Presentational Speaking
I will finish either Don’t Say Um or The Next Conversation and do atleast one session with my Speeko coach. Need to use the Speeko tool more as well.
Logging food, more protein and less late night eating
Logging food has made me more mindful of what I’ve been eating lately. I am definitely not eating enough protein so need to increase my protein intake in a way that isn’t just protein bars. Additionally I want to continue avoiding eating after dinner and work intermittent fasting into my schedule allows. Need to delineate between meals where my body just needs fuel and when its a meal worth savoring.
