- Get married – We are under 3 months from the big day and I feel great about what we’ve accomplished. The big rocks are all done, it is mostly smaller tasks that are left to be done. Want to frontload this to the first half of the quarter so the weeks leading up to the wedding are as chill as possible.
- We did it! Best money we could have possibly spent was hiring a month of coordinator who told me I was one of the more involved grooms she had worked with which made me feel great. We tried really hard to find a middle ground between a bare venue and a wedding factory. I now have a tremendous amount of wedding knowledge that I want to monetize or put to work. My wife and I want to become celebrity wedding planners.
- Stealth 375 – Last quarter I hit 360 attempts which I’m super proud of and feel my core getting stronger which feels accretive to my overall fitness and health goals. Upping it to 375 which is just over 4 a day. I don’t have a tremendous amount of travel coming up so should be able to hit this. Maybe even 400. I can only do about 10 minutes a day max until I feel super sore
- 360 was my final count so I didn’t hit this number. I can blame the wedding. but 360 is still a solid number. It simultaneously feels low as its only 4 a day but it also feels high. Will have a stealth goal for next quarter as well.
- Phone Distance – Jomo has been great for me. Social media is blocked 9-5. I certainly do go on from my desktop from time to time but my usage has DRASTICALLY decreased. A dark loop I used to get into was to end a task or meeting and quickly grab my phone and browse social media. Now that I can’t do that it pushes me back to the main thing faster which is a better loop. Need to work on keeping my phone away from me during the work day.
- Pretty good with this. I keep my phone away from me for most of the day. Will continue to do this. A thing I have noticed is I have to do 2FA for various apps and that pulls me back to my phone. So trying to mitigate that behavior
- Stretching – I’m restarting the phenomenal Yoga Body series of courses. Alternating between the hip course and the back course each of which are 21 days. Stretching everyday feels unrealistic so let’s set the target of getting to day 10 of each of the courses. Also going to try to defaul to using my standing desk because i think a ton of my hip issues are a function of sitting at my desk most of the day.
- Medium on this. I would say I averaged maybe 2 stretching sessions per week which is a little sound of the 3-4 I want to hit. will work on this next week.
- Courses – Enjoying the Internet Pipes and Small bets courses so will target one more Internet Pipes module and another Small Bets class. Also want to add in Masterclass usage which can fit in where I use podcasts. Would like to get my reps up with AI tools but need to finish a course before buying a new one.
- Medium on this. Started 100 days of AI and am 1/5th of the way through. Will continue to focus on learning next week.
- Gympass – Now rebranded as Wellhub. I hit about 40 classes last quarter which is about one every other day which is super impressive. Would like to hit over 35 again. Working on bringing more pilates and yoga into my routine.
- For some reason i can’t pull my check in history which is odd. But definitely hit over 35 which I am impressed with.
- Morning personal development – too often I wake up 15 minutes before a meeting and rush into work. I don’t find myself with energy after work to do things so the morning is the only feasible time. I don’t want to set numbers or targets just want to get better about doing my stuff before work be it stretching, gym, networking, courses etc.
- Good not great. This will be my primary focus next quarter.
- EY and personal blog post – Will take a few months to get my EY blog post up on EY.com which will come along with a profile page for myself on EY.com which i’m super excited about. In the opposite end of the spectrum there is no process or barriers to me posting my own blog post on my website and social channels.
- Both are still a work in progress.
- Linkedin/Twitter/Networking – Need to step up my game here and make it my primary social network. There are few tools that friends have recommended that I want to explore but need to make sure they are on brand and don’t push out thot leader nonsense. I pay for premium and should dive deeper into it. Additionally I have a good network on X/Twitter which I should engage more.
- Explore investment activities – Because of independence restrictions I have definitely slowed down investment activities. I have a few thousand dollars I’d like to put into riskier investments like secondaries, private investments and other opportunities. My investments are pretty conservative right now which is mostly a great thing. They say that angel investments should be a single digit percentage of my net worth so I’m figuring out what my affordable loss is here.
- Assistant – I get my day job done, but outside of that I’m struggling to make time for other things. I of course can’t outsource the day job but I’d like to find opportunities to hire virtual assistants to help me with the non core activities. The challenge is alot of these activities don’t tie to revenue so its hard to justify the cost. Additionally things like investing, networking are hard to outsource. Tactically the first step is to think about all the activities throughout my life and make a massive list of tasks I can outsource.
- Low priority but will become a thing next quarter
